Heroes and the new Ether Renewal
Simple question, do Heroes use this skill only when their energy gets low, or will they try to maintain this when possible?

They use it on recharge, so maintain when possible.

With 16 in Energy storage and a enchanting staff, it only has a downtime of a few seconds, nothing a quick BR couldn't fix. Just did a complete FoW run with 1 monk hero and 1 [Ether renewal] Prot ele. As long as his enchants weren't stripped, he did a superb job.

Yeah, this is what I had Zhed run with 16 energy storage, 10 prot, rest in smiting

Last time I used it, Zealot's Fire causes scattering? Anyway, I'd probably try:

Not sure if it matters much either way. I expect Draw would be used more often than Smite due to its shorter recharge.
I have another hero running Martyr/Plague Sending so I didnt spec any condition management on my Ele smiter build.

I usually leave condition removal to the MM.
[Foul feast] + [infuse condition] or [martyr] + [infuse condition]

I suspect they would do that, i.e. using Smite Condition just as a condition removal rather than an attack. They would also use Smite Hex on a hexed ally even when no enemies are around.
But that is an issue between the AI and the Smite Condition skill itself, nothing to do with Draw Conditions.

I don't see the benefit of Ether Renewal for orders unless it's supposed to make up for the health saccing. I'd rather use a D/N since it heals everyone else as well.

Suppose to have more self healing, more energy, and BR. Other than that, I dont see any other advantage.
Ether Renewal is a natural to go with an orders team even if the Ele is not running orders.

Been using Ether Renewal to spam Heal Party and Heal Other, never run out of energy, more defense than I ever got out of N/Rt Healers.

Aw man, just when I tried to create the ultimate pure Elementalist hero setup, they give me the best e-management anyone can imagine - passive and overpowered. GO GO MEGAENCHANT LOL +20 ENERGY EACH CAST!
I'm going to totally clear FoW with heroes now.
